Lab’s Screenwriting Contest, La’Chris is a 2021 BIPOC Writers Fellow, a Stowe Story Labs alum, a finalist for the SAGindie Fellowship, a Second Rounder for the Sundance Episodic Lab as well as a semifinalist for the Lila Acheson American Playwriting Program at Juilliard. La’Chris’ military drama ROSES IN THE WATER placed in the Top 10% for the 2020 Academy Nicholl and was a Second Rounder for the 2021 MACRO x The Black List Feature Screenwriter
Incubator program. A West Coast and Louisiana native with indigenous and Jewish roots, La’Chris is a University of Washington grad and former journalist for The Gulf News in Dubai, UAE. She is currently developing a horror feature inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe with Level 4 Films.
